Day 1. To Mumbai
Fly from Heathrow to Mumbai on direct Jet Airways flight.

Day 2. Board Deccan Odyssey
Arrive Mumbai in the morning. Transfer to an hotel to use the lobby facilities. Evening transfer to railway station to board the Deccan Odyssey.

Day 3. Jaigadh, Ganapatipule, Ratnagiri and Bhatye Beach
Morning Backwater cruise to Jaigad Fort, then by coach, to the magnificent Konkan coast. After lunch, in a Ganapatipule beach resort, sight seeing tour of Ratnagiri town. Visit Ratnadurg Fort, Lokmanya Tilak Smarak with time to shop in Ratnagiri Bazaar.

Day 4. Sindhudurg, Tarkarli, Sawantwadi
Morning coach transfer to Malvan Jetty to see the Sindhudurg Sea Fort. After lunch in Tarkarli beach resort, Backwater cruise to Kalse Jetty and sightseeing of the remarkable lacquer handicrafts, paintings and furniture at the ‘Shilpagrama’ in Sawantwadi.

Day 5. Goa
Morning coach excursion to see the highlights of Old Goa including the Basilica De Bom Jesus, and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, now an archaeological museum. After lunch at Fort Aguada Beach Resort visit the Dona Paula.

Day 6. Kolhapur and Pune
Morning coach excursion to visit the New Palace, now partly converted into a museum. At the Bhawani Mandap see a traditional performance of the “Mardani Khel” a local Martial Art. Visit the gracefully carved Mahalaxmi Temple and Shalini Palace, to see a cultural programme. After lunch on board arrive Pune and take coach trip to Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum.

Day 7. Daulatabad, Ellora and Aurangabad
Morning excursion by coach to see the magnificent Fort Daulatabad, followed by the World Heritage site at Ellora Cave Temples, with their glorious masterpieces dedicated to Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. After lunch visit the Bibi-ka-Maqbara- a replica of Taj Mahal.

Day 8. Ajanta and Nasik
Morning coach journey to visit the amazing Ajanta Caves – another World Heritage Site – with its 2000 year old Buddhists paintings. After lunch depart on train to Nasik and visit the Panchiwati Ghats and Sula Winery Yard.

Day 9. To Heathrow
Arrive Mumbai in the morning. Transfer to the airport for Jet Airways flight to Heathrow.
