South Africa Holiday – April 2010

Dear Shawn

Just a line to tell you how very much we enjoyed our South Africa holiday and to thank you for all the wonderful arrangements that you made.

Andre was such a good guide. He and Colleen made my birthday an occasion I will always remember – champagne,  a super meal and a present.

All the hotels were excellent and the view, of course was magnificent. An unexpected treat was in East London, where we were invited to visit the home of an author who has written a book on Transkei where Tom was at a trading station during the war. He was able to pass on some photos taken during his short leave there. As you know Andre passed us on to Jannie Kruger when the air travel stopped and he managed to get us on one of the first planes to the UK and all so very kind to us.
